Exterior in the northeast can really take a beating with all the different seasons and aggressive weather we receive. It's easy for us to forget about the outside of our homes and allow the paint to fail, causing a good amount of work to bring it back to life. Before painting a house, it will need to be cleaned and prepped. Prep will consist of removing and discarding of old loose paint, sanding if applicable, priming if needed, caulking if needed and small wood repairs using different types of available fillers. When it comes to painting, I enjoy using Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paints, but are willing to use what you would prefer. Everything is done freehand, by brush. I don't tend to spray, as I do not enjoy the loss of paint in the overspray, as well as the waste of plastic and tape.
